It's a rainy windy night...

Tonight was very windy and not to mention rainy.  I have been thinking lately on a baby 1st birthday card.  I came up with something but I don't like it.  I will need to keep on thinking.  I also made another gift card holder.... it came out soooooo nice. I just love it!!

Isn't it pretty.  Its tied closed.

Once untied, you start to see the suprise inside.

Here it comes...... please don't mind the Sam's card, I didn't have a gift card available. LOL

Tadaaa! Heres your fancy gift card holder for Christmas.

Hot Hot Hot Saturday...

Today is such a HOT day.  Had to run to the doctors for Harlee and couldn't wait to get back home.  I did 3 cards last night... they came out soooooo cute!  I just love them.

This card is from the "Top Note"  I used the Big Shot but kept the top portion uncut so it could open like a card.  This is another style I learned at a Stamp N Stack.  This is the closest I had to folowers.

Isn't this adorable!! Another "Top Note' die cut, which is now a little fancy purse.

Big Shot is here FINALLY!!!!

Can you believe it!  My Big Shot just arrived today.  I was so excited!  I've waited over 3 weeks for this item to come in.  Well, I'm at home and I didn't really get to use it.  I just made a die cut of a "Top Note"... and I love it.  I did pick up some discontinued 'whale' shapped punches from Stampin Up... and they work great.  I picked up a total of 3, a scallop circle, circle and one word punch.  I think these feel better then the newer flat punches... but the newer punches store better.  I did try and make a gift card holder..... one came out backwards.. LOL and the other one came out crooked and sidways.

This gift card opens backwards....

This one opens on the top and the wording is crooked.

Lost day, no creative ideas!

Today was a lost day as I call it.  I couldn't come up with anything!  I sat at my desk and nothing!!  After eating and cleaning, I sat at my desk again and this is what I got....

Ohhh, don't mind my pictures! They're all 'blown-out', thats why the background is showing up as a grey color.  It suppose to be white!   As soon as I get a light box, it will be much better!!

Thank You's

Well, tonight I was trying to relax, mostly because I think I may have pulled my back at work today.  Unfortunately, it hurts when I stand straight or move to quickly.... Ugh!  It feels better when I sit.  So I sat at my desk again and decided to try a technique I learned at a Stampin Up Stamp N Stack... I think thats what you call it... Well this time I did the technique but on the whole card not only half.  This is how it came out.
I think they are a little busy.....

Columbus Day Holiday

Today was a beautiful Columbus Day holiday.  I decided to stay in and relax.  I sat down at my desk flipped through some designer paper and this is what came out of it.  Some are so very simple and some using techniques that I learned.

I forgot one more picture.  I was trying a diamond technique using my crimper by Stampin Up.

My work space.

This is my current work space.  It's kind of small but functional (for now).  I continue to move things around especially when I'm sitting at my desk.  I have a feeling my desk is tooo small and I will need more work space.  I want a space for my cutters and my Big Show (which is on order) where I can just lay them out and use them freely.

Do you see my card holder on the wall?
I seen something like it but they used ribbon and pictures instead of using the yardstick and cards.
This is where I put my mistakes...

Just a little something...

Just a little something I put together.  Their a little boring but practice makes perfect.

My Christmas Trees...

I just love this stamp set!  This stamp set is called Snow Swirled by Stampin Up, of course.  As soon as I seen it in the catalog, I had to have it!!  Isn't it pretty.  Its all 'blinged-out'. LOL

If you look closely I tried to use Stampin Up's Crystal Effects on some of the stars.  Unfortunately, it didn't work.  It started to smear... well now you know.  Crystal Effects on ink smears.  Ugh!

I love Christmas...

These cards were made with Stampin Up's Price Less, Delightful Decoration stamp sets with coordinating Ornament Punch and the Seasonal Sentiments stamp set.

I used a black ball point pen to draw the lines.

If you look closely, I used Crystal Effects from Stampin Up on the ornament punch out to give a little "Bling"

Upsy Daisy

These two cards were made with Stampin Up's Upsy Daisy stamp set, coordinating card stock and designer paper.  Unfortunately, I don't know the names of the paper because I purchased them in a set from EBay.  I should have used my Stamp-a-ma-jig because the Birthday came out crooked. LOL  I still need help with my knots... LOL

Shopping.....

Once I decided that I needed more items, I started hitting the craft stores looking for designer paper, adhesive, accessories etc.  I also contacted a lady on craigslist for some Stampin Up stamps.  She had a lot of stuff.  I purchased a Sentiment Stamp Set and she threw in some other stuff too.  So I had my 1st set of stamps.... what to do, what to do.  OMG!!! It was SO hard to coordinate the paper, ribbon and stamp color...ugh!  This is what I came out with...

I need help on my bows.. LOL

Hows my Thanks card, so patriotic. LOL

.
My measurements were all off and do you see what I mean about coordinating the paper color and stamps...
I got a headache trying to match these... LOL
(These cards were inspired from a very talented lady on YouTube)

In the begining...

In the beginning, because I was very, very interested my girl friend asked me to attend a Stamp-N-Take event with a Stampin Up demonstrator.  I was so excited and couldn't wait!!  It was scheduled in 2 months and I was getting anxious.  At that time I had NO stamps of any kind.  However, I did have some craft paper and card stock from previous projects.  So one day I sat down at my desk and put some cards together and this is what I got.

These cards are kind of boring, but OK, for something I just put together with what every I had available.
